New Orleans Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey was rushed to a Las Vagas hospital after being found unconscious at the Hard Rock Casino at a pool party around 2 PM.
TMZ.com initially broke the story.
Shockey was released and ESPN’s Chris Mortenson is reporting that Shockey suffered a “bout of dehydration”.
Shockey was traded to the Saints last year from the New York Giants.
In his career, he has caught 421 passes for 4,711 yards and 27 touchdowns. He missed most of his first year with the Saints because of injuries but is expected to be a major contributor to the team this season.
